HOW TO MAKE MORE TIME IN YOUR DAY

Do you struggle to get everything done that you HAVE to do, let alone have any time for yourself? If you’re wondering why you never have any free moments, you might need a time budget.

Figuring out exactly where all your time goes will help you understand out where you might be wasting time on stuff that just isn’t important. Then you can take steps to scale back on what doesn’t matter to you, and get back more hours for yourself.

It can be easy to get sucked (or suckered!) into tasks or events you don’t really want to do. Once you get busy, you just figure this is life now – maybe one day it’ll calm down, but there’s nothing you can do it about it. Just ride it out.

But that’s not the case. You do have control over your schedule. You just need to figure out where all your hours are going so you can scale back on the stuff that isn’t serving you any more.

While it’s great to help out at work and school and charities and friends and family – at some point all of that is going to squeeze out the time for yourself. You need to make sure there’s time in your schedule to take care of yourself, or you won’t be able to help others for very long.

If you’ve never made a time budget before, it can be very eye opening. It can be surprising to find out how much something you might not even care about is sucking away your time, when you’d rather give it to something else way more important.

We really only get 24 hours a day, no matter what we do. And much like money we can’t spend what we don’t have. If you give more time than you have it comes out of your quality of life, usually in the form of cutting out sleep, exercise, and self care. But these things are crucial to your wellbeing so they must remain in your schedule. Don’t worry, I’m teaching you how to step away from the things that don’t serve you too.
