How to Get Out of Your Comfort Zone
The world is a crazy place right now. Even with things trying to get back to normal, we’re still on uneasy footing. And one of the things we don’t have much of right now is control.
One of the things that happens when we feel out of control is that we seek out comfort. Our comfort zones are, well, comfortable. And even if you’re pretty good about seeking out new things and trying to grow, when life gets weird, we tend to shrink back.
Even though you may have busted out of old ways of eating or thinking or being – during these “unprecedented times” you may have found yourself retreating back to them. In order to deal with all the things you can’t control, you control the things you can.
While it’s understandable that many of us have gone back to old ways, it’s clear that things are not going back to normal (whatever that will look like) any time soon. We can’t hide in our comfort zones forever, and if we don’t get back out of them it will just get harder and harder to break those old habits.
In this video, I’m talking about how to get out of your comfort zone. There really are right ways and wrong ways. For example, if you go too far too fast you are likely to have a bad experience and never want to try again. This is definitely not the goal.
I’m giving you some tips about how you can make getting out of your comfort zone, well, more comfortable. It doesn’t have to be a scary, awful experience. Learn to grow in a consistent and realistic way.
