Do you have that mean girl or jerk in your head that (constantly?) tells you that you’re not good enough? Yeah me too.
In fact, part of the reason that it took me so long to get over my burnout was all the mental work that I needed to do. I was so focused on getting my body right, that I forgot about the mental game. It took a long time to realize that the reason that I wasn’t healing completely was that I still had all these nasty, negative thought patterns that were plaguing me. And a really, really big one was never feeling like enough.
Not good enough in one way or another (smart enough, thin enough, pretty enough) is one of the most common negative thoughts that hits us. The particular reasons that it might come up for you might be different than your best friend, however there are some major themes and times when these thoughts tend to hit people.
Today I’m talking about the big reasons that people get bogged down in these thoughts, and how to get them to stop. Negative thought patterns are a pain to get rid of, but it can be done. However, in this video I’m talking about ways that you can stop these thoughts in their tracks. While the not good enough bucket is pretty big, we find unending ways to recreate them in our heads. If you can learn to figure out why they are coming up and to stop them, then you can prevent yourself from developing a negative thought habit.
