The peach-faced lovebird is a crevice dwelling bird that is found in arid parts of southwest Africa and is often kept as a pet. These cuddly social birds have been dubbed lovebirds due to their strong life long links with their mates.

I created this original drawing based on a photo taken by David Clode. I loved the striking contrast between the smooth bird and the rough wood texture, and the earthy browns in contrast with the bird’s bright plumage.

This drawing is done in landscape orientation on 9×12 Arches hot press watercolor paper using high quality artist grade lightfast pencils.

The drawing will ship flat in a rigid mailer without a mat or frame. Product ships within 3-5 business days.
